Risks & considerations
Pain, redness, swelling, bruising and raised injection sites can occur. Product-specific risks may include infection, allergy, persistent nodules and inflammation. Risks are not identical across formulations.
Tell the doctor about earlier injections, skin conditions, allergies, medications, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Confirm sessions, intervals and downtime for the specific product and area.
About the products (including products unapproved in Japan)
This is a self-funded treatment and is not covered by public health insurance. JUVELOOK, REJURAN (HB / i), SUNEKOS, PLURYAL DENSIFY and JALUPRO SUPER HYDRO are not approved in Japan. SKINVIVE is approved in Japan.
How they are obtained: the products that are not approved in Japan are imported personally by each clinic’s doctor through an import agent (VALIQUE).
Approved alternatives in Japan: among the products on this page, SKINVIVE (Allergan) is approved in Japan. There is no product approved in Japan with the same composition as the other products.
Overseas safety information: SUNEKOS is approved in Italy. JUVELOOK, REJURAN, PLURYAL DENSIFY and JALUPRO SUPER HYDRO are approved in Korea. Injectable products can cause infection, lumps or allergic reactions, and if a product enters a blood vessel, skin damage may occur. The efficacy and safety of the products that are not approved in Japan have not been confirmed through the Japanese approval review.
Relief system: products that are not approved in Japan are not covered by the Japanese Relief System for Sufferers from Adverse Drug Reactions. Medical devices are also not covered.
